tourism
Teresina does not have any pronounced tourism, which is partly due to the remote location inland. The city is endeavoring to increase its attractiveness through modern construction projects, such as the Ponte Estaiada, which was completed in 2010, but this has so far only been partially successful.
Some other sights are the "Encontro dos Rios" where the rivers Rio Poti and Rio Parnaíba converge, as well as the Floresta Fóssil Park , which shows the fossil remains of plants on about 13 hectares. The park is said to be the largest of its kind on the entire American continent.
