DFB League Cup 2004

The 2004 DFB League Cup was the ninth edition of the competition. Participants were the first five teams of the previous Bundesliga season , including the double winner Werder Bremen and the ninth Hansa Rostock, as the teams played from 6th to 8th place in the UI Cup . The Bayern Munich won by 3: 2 against Werder Bremen in the final of Mainz. The best scorers of the competition with two goals each were Michael Ballack and Sebastian Deisler from Bayern Munich, Cacau from VfB Stuttgart and Ivan Klasnic from Werder Bremen.
