Andreas Görlitz (* 31 January 1982 in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria ) is a former German football player and now as musicians of the alternative - Pop - band Whale City.
Football career

At the age of seven, Andreas Görlitz began playing football at TSV Rott / Lech and at the age of 14 moved to the youth department of TSV 1860 Munich . At the age of 18 he was part of the amateur team, for which he played as a defender seven times in the Regionalliga Süd from the 2000/01 season , for the first time on April 14, 2001 in the 2-0 away defeat against VfR Mannheim . For the 2007/08 season Görlitz was given to the newly promoted Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC via a loan deal . At the end of this season, both clubs agreed to extend the loan for another year. In the two seasons in which Görlitz played 49 games, he was part of the tribe.
For the 2009/10 season Görlitz returned to Bayern Munich and was unable to play the rest of the first half of the season from November due to a heel injury. He was not used in the Bundesliga or in the Champions League for the entire season and was substituted on once in the DFB Cup ; for the second team he only played four third division games . Görlitz 'expiring contract was not extended, so he left the club.
For the 2010/11 season he then moved to the second division promoted FC Ingolstadt 04 , where he signed a contract valid until 2012, which was extended by one year in May 2012. Music career
During the break from injury due to a torn cruciate ligament , Andreas Görlitz taught himself to play the guitar and later founded the rock band Room77 with his brother Markus Görlitz and friends Manuel Riesemann, Temren Demirbolat and Michael Kratzl . On November 23, 2009 the band released their first album "At Home". The first single, "Hope", was released on December 21, 2009, and the entire proceeds went to the SOS Children's Village Ammersee . Görlitz and the band also supported the SOS Children's Village with a self-organized rock festival at the See-Häusl in Rott am Lech . In 2018, Görlitz founded the alternative pop band Whale City with musicians friends Michael Eichele and Juri Jangl. The debut single "Echo of Joy" was released on September 28, 2018.
