DFL League Cup 2005
The 2005 DFL League Cup (officially premiered League Cup 2005 ) was the tenth edition of the competition and was won by FC Schalke 04 by beating VfB Stuttgart 1-0 in the Leipzig final . The six best-placed teams from the previous Bundesliga season took part. Since FC Bayern Munich won the double in 2005 , cup runner-up FC Schalke 04 was seeded for the semi-finals. Eight players only scored one goal each.
