DFB League Cup 1998
The 1998 DFB League Cup was the third edition of the competition. Participants were the first five teams from the previous Bundesliga season and MSV Duisburg as the cup finalists . The "Bayern" won the new edition of the final from last year with a 4-0 win against VfB Stuttgart in Leverkusen and were able to defend their title. The most successful goalscorer with three goals was Giovane Élber from the winner FC Bayern Munich .
