The 2000 DFB League Cup was the fifth edition of this competition. Participants were the first six teams of the previous Bundesliga season , including FC Bayern Munich as DFB Cup winners and double winners in 2000. The "Bayern" won their fourth consecutive final in Leverkusen with a 5: 1 against Hertha BSC . The top scorer was Alexander Zickler from Bayern Munich with three goals.
