Andreas Buck (born December 29, 1967 in Geislingen an der Steige ) is a former German football player . His strength lay mainly in his speed.

Buck began his career in 1974 at SC Geislingen , where he also made it into the men's team in the mid-1980s, where he played until he left at the end of the 1986/87 season. After a season with VfL Kirchheim / Teck in the football league Baden-Württemberg Buck moved to SC Freiburg in the second division for the 1987/88 season . There he completed 65 goalless missions by 1990.

At the first division club VfB Stuttgart , to which Buck moved in 1990, he matured to become a regular in midfield . In 1992 he was German champion with VfB under Christoph Daum , and in 1997 DFB cup winner under Joachim Löw . He played for Stuttgart until 1997, before he moved to the newly promoted 1. FC Kaiserslautern and was promoted champion for the first time in the history of the Bundesliga in 1998 with the team of coach Otto Rehhagel .

Andreas Buck worked for FCK until January 2002, after which a move to England to Derby County failed . From Easter 2002 he trained with the second division club 1. FSV Mainz 05 , with whom he finally signed a contract in May 2002 and stayed until 2003. He ended his career after a very short stint at the top division club Eintracht Bad Kreuznach .

Today Buck is among other things active in the traditional team of VfB Stuttgart.

After his retirement as active, he founded an asset management and insurance agency specializing in athletes, with which he also looks after well-known clients such as Roman Weidenfeller or Papiss Demba Cissé .

From February 2019 Buck was a board member of 1. FC Kaiserslautern e. V. On May 13, 2019, he resigned from his position as deputy chairman in order to work as a brand ambassador for the association. After the quarrels about the entry of the investor Flavio Becca , he resigned from this position on May 18, 2019.
