Michael Wiesinger (born December 27, 1972 in Burghausen ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .
Career
As a player
After Wiesinger had played for SV DJK Emmerting from the age of four and then for nine years for the Gendorf sports club, he joined TSV 1860 Munich as a youth player for one season in 1990 , for which he played a game in the men's division in the then third-class Bayern League . After the stations SpVgg Starnberg (1991-1992) and FC Starnberg (1992-1993) Wiesinger went to 1. FC Nürnberg .
On August 6, 1993 (1st match day) he made his Bundesliga debut when he came on for Manfred Schwabl in the 81st minute ; FCN lost 5-2 at Hamburger SV . His first Bundesliga goal meant the 1-0 win in the away game against 1. FC Köln on December 4, 1993 (19th matchday) . After his first season he was relegated to the 2. Bundesliga with 1. FC Nürnberg , from which they were promoted again three years later.
After another year in the upper house, Wiesinger moved to Bayern Munich , for whom he scored his only goal in 19 games on October 30, 1999 (10th matchday). In the 5-0 home game against VfL Wolfsburg , he made the final score in the 89th minute. In 2001 three seasons followed for TSV 1860 Munich . From January 17, 2004 he was eligible to play for SV Wacker Burghausen in the 2nd division. His contract in Burghausen ran out with relegation to the Regionalliga Süd at the end of the 2006/07 season . In 2007 he was signed by SpVgg Weiden , for which he played in the Bayern League for another year .
As a trainer and functionary
From July 1, 2008, Wiesinger worked as a coach at FC Ingolstadt 04 . Initially he was the head coach of the U23s and from April 21, 2009, due to Thorsten Fink's leave of absence, he was the interim coach of the first team. Equipped with a two-year contract, he was initially assistant coach (at the side of Horst Köppel ) from May 22, 2009 and after his dismissal on November 9, 2009 head coach. On December 21, 2009, FC Ingolstadt announced the extension of Michael Wiesinger's contract until June 2011 and hired an additional assistant coach in Henning Bürger . With the club relegated to the third division at the end of the 2008/09 season , Wiesinger managed to return to the second division immediately with third place in the table and two relegation games against Hansa Rostock . After just four points from the first eleven games of the 2010/11 season , Wiesinger was relieved of his duties at FC Ingolstadt on November 6, 2010. During his time at Ingolstadt, Wiesinger completed the training for a trainer license at the Sport University Cologne , which he successfully completed in 2011.
After Michael Wiesinger over a season the second team of the 1. FC Nuremberg had cared, he took over on 1 January 2013 together with the previously as assistant coach acting Armin Reutershahn as a coaching team that Erstligaelf the Nuremberg from above to VfL Wolfsburg exchanged Dieter Hecking . Wiesinger and Reutershahn were released on October 7, 2013. The cause of this was the 5-0 defeat against Hamburger SV the day before, after which 1. FC Nürnberg was in the meantime after eight games without a win on the relegation place of the Bundesliga.
For the 2015/2016 season Wiesinger was the new coach of the regional league club SV Elversberg . In the following season, the team reached second place in the table and thus qualified for the promotion games to the third division , but there was subject to the FSV Zwickau . In the following season 2016/17 he was able to reach the championship of the Regionalliga Südwest with SV Elversberg. In the subsequent promotion games they failed against SpVgg Unterhaching . In addition, the team made it to the final of the Saarland Cup in 2016 and 2017 , although they lost the final games against FC 08 Homburg and 1. FC Saarbrücken . After the promotion to the 3rd division was not made for two years in a row , SV Elversberg separated from Wiesinger at the end of the season.
On June 11, the newly promoted regional division KFC Uerdingen signed him. On March 15, 2018, he was released from his duties and replaced by Stefan Krämer .
At the beginning of September 2019, Wiesinger returned to 1. FC Nürnberg to take over the overall management of the youth performance center (NLZ). On July 1, 2020, he took over the second division team from the released Jens Keller for the relegation relegation games on July 7 and 11 against FC Ingolstadt 04 . After a 2-0 win in the first leg, FCN were 3-0 back in the second leg until shortly before the end of the game, before Fabian Schleusener scored the goal to keep the league in the 96th minute.
