Manoel Messias Silva Carvalho , called Manoel , (born February 26, 1990 in Bacabal , Maranhão ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot mainly plays in central defense.

From 2014 to 2018 Manoel played at Cruzeiro EC , he came for a transfer fee of 7.2 million reals from Atletico Paranaense . With Cruzerio, Manoel was national champion and two-time cup winner in 2014 . Before moving to Corinthians São Paulo in early 2019, he played 122 games in various competitions for the club, scoring seven goals. In January 2019, he moved to Corinthians on loan for a year . One of the clauses with the move included Cruzeiro undertaking to continue to pay approximately 30% of Manoel's salary of 135,000 reals.

After the loan from Corinthians ended, another one followed. Manoel went to Trabzonspor in Turkey , where he received a contract until the end of the season. Due to the interruption of the season due to the corona pandemic, the contract was extended by one month. After the deadline, Manoel returned with only one game for Trabzonspor in the cup competition to Cruzeiro, where he has an ongoing contract until the end of the year. At this point, his transfer rights were divided between four parties, Cruzeiro (30%), Supermercados BH (10%), the Manoel himself (10%) and Athletico Paranaense (50%).
