Ricardo Goulart Pereira , called Ricardo Goulart , (born June 5, 1991 in São José dos Campos , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Ricardo Goulart started his career in the youth team of the EC Santo André and developed into a beacon of hope for the future. With his good performances, he quickly drew the interest of the major clubs. In 2012 he acquired the transfer rights in his own person from Banco BMG .

society

The player had his breakthrough in the 2012 season, where he scored 21 goals in 55 competitive games in various competitions. Because of his achievements, Ricardo Goulart received offers from Cruzeiro and São Paulo FC and also from Atlético Mineiro . The coach Cuca said of him, "In his opinion Ricardo Goulart was the best player in Serie B in 2012." With the end of the 2012 season, contract negotiations began. On January 4, 2013, the president of Cruzeiro Gilvan de Pinho Tavares announced the hiring of Ricardo Goulart to the press.

With the move from Diego Souza to Metalist Charkiw in the Ukraine , Goulart soon took on responsibility on the offensive and found an ideal playing partner in Everton Ribeiro . The two together led the club to its third title in the Brazilian championship .

At the beginning of 2015 it was announced that Goulart will move to Guangzhou Evergrande for approx. 15 million euros and that he has signed for four years. At the end of February 2016, the club extended its contract prematurely until the end of 2020. In April 2016 it was announced that the Cruzeiro EC was negotiating a return with Goulart and Evergrande . However, no agreement could be reached with Evergrande. Two years later, in June 2018, Cruzeiro's renewed interest in Goulart became known. The club were awaiting the transfer of Giorgian De Arrascaeta to Europe. This would have generated a transfer fee of 20 million euros. Since Cruzeiro held 25% of the transfer rights, the club assumed an income of at least five million euros. This corresponded to half of the sum that the transfer from Goulart to Brazil would have cost. In January 2019, his loan to Palmeiras São Paulo was announced until the end of the year. At the club, he only made a few appearances, in addition to eight games in the São Paulo state championship (three goals), one more in the 2020 championship and three in the 2020 Copa Libertadores (one goal).

After Goulart returned to Evergrande in 2020, he did not make any appearances for the club and therefore agreed to a loan to league rivals Hebei China Fortune in July of that year .

National team

After the 2014 home World Cup , which was disappointing for Brazil , the new national coach Dunga was supposed to build a new team. In addition to SSC Napoli goalkeeper Rafael Cabral , defender Gil from Corinthians Sao Paulo and Cruzeiro club mate Everton Ribeiro (midfield), Goulart was nominated for the first time for two games for the Brazilian national team in August 2014 . After not playing against Colombia, he made his debut on September 9, 2014 in a 1-0 win over Ecuador. This was also his only game for the Seleção so far.
