The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A 1992 was the 36th season of the Brazilian Série A .
Season course
The Série A started on January 22, 1992 in its new season and ended on July 19, 1992. The championship was organized by the national association CBF . Before the start of the season, it was already determined that there should be no relegation.
1st round mode : First, all clubs competed against each other once. The best eight teams qualified for the second round.
2nd round : The eight teams competed in two groups of four teams each and played against each other here and there. The group winners qualified directly for the final.
Overall table : An overall table was formed from the results of the first and second round.
After the season, as every year, awards were given to the best players of the year. The “ Golden Ball ”, awarded by the sports magazine Placar , went to the junior of the master CR Flamengo . The top scorer was Bebeto with 18 goals from CR Vasco da Gama .
