Carlos Alberto Costa Dias (born May 5, 1967 in Brasília ) is a former Brazilian soccer player.

Career

1988 to 1994

He started in 1988 at the Brazilian club Coritiba FC , where he played twelve games in the first year and scored three goals. The next year he played eight games and scored four times. After two years with the club, 20 games played and twelve goals scored, he ended the contract with the club and moved to the club Botafogo FR . In the first year he completed 17 league games without goal participation. The next year he was used in 13 games and scored one goal. His last year at the club was also his most successful, playing 23 league games and scoring four goals. Thereupon he terminated the contract with the club. In 1993 he signed a contract with Gremio Porto Alegre , where he only played four league games (two goals). The next year he completed 15 games for the Paraná Clube , he scored five times during this season.

1995 to 1999

After eight years with Brazilian clubs, he went abroad for the first time in his career. He went to Japan twice , the first time he was at the Shimizu S-Pulse club , where he had the most successful year of his career. In 32 league games he came Dias a total of 17 goals this season. He then returned to Brazil for a year. There he spent 1996 with the Paraná Clube club , as in 1994. After a year in Brazil he returned to Japan for a year and was this year with the Verdy Kawasaki club , where he played ten games and scored three goals. He then played three goalless games with Coritiba FC and his senior year was the third time with Paraná Clube, where he played ten more games before leaving the club at the end of the season. After that, Dias still played for some lower-class clubs, in 2006 he ended his active career.

National team

In 1992 he played a game with the Brazilian national team , but without scoring an international goal.
