Fábio da Silva Azevedo , called Fabinho , (born January 12, 1970 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian soccer player . In his career he won various national and international championships.
The player mainly appeared for Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro . He is said to have played 253 games and scored nine goals in various competitions. But he celebrated his greatest success in 1997 with Cruzeiro from Belo Horizonte when he won the Copa Libertadores. In the same year he was part of the team from Cruzeiro EC which was defeated in the final of the World Cup Borussia Dortmund .
