José Morais , called Chiclete (born February 20, 1942 in Esperança (Paraíba) , † August 13, 2005 ), was a Brazilian football player . He became famous in 1967 when he was the top scorer at Taça Brasil . With this success, FC Treze is the only club from the state of Paraíba that can boast a top scorer in the Brazilian championship. After this success he returned to Portugal , where he had already gained experience with Vitória Guimarães . Morais has now been signed by Sporting Lisbon . With the club he was able to win the national championship in 1970.

After his active career, Morais briefly worked as a trainer in Brazil and then studied law at the University of Paraíba . He found a job as a lawyer at DETRAN, a government organization for transportation.

Morais was married to a Portuguese woman and had three children.
