Clube Oriental de Lisboa is a sports club from the Portuguese capital Lisbon . The club is particularly known for its football department, but also for its handball, volleyball and basketball teams.

history

The association was created on August 8, 1946 through the merger of the three associations Grupo Desportivo Os Fósforos , Marvilense Futebol Clube and Chelas Futebol Clube .

The club achieved its greatest success in football in the 1950/51 season, when he finished fifth in the first Portuguese league, the Primeira Liga . After later relegations, the club was a founding member of the newly created third division in 2013, the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores . After the end of the 2013/14 season, Oriente was promoted to the second Portuguese league, the Segunda League . Since relegation in 2016, they have been playing third class again.

Stadion
