The Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa 1969 was the third season of the tournament and the 13th Brazilian soccer championship after the recognition of this competition and the Taça Brasil by the CBF in 2010.

Season course

The competition started its new season on September 6, 1969 and ended on December 7, 1969. The championship was organized by the national association CBD . At the end of the season, the Palmeiras São Paulo celebrated its fourth title (according to the count from 2010). In the Robertao it was the club's second title.

The top scorer was Edu from America FC (RJ) with 14 goals .

In the first round, the 17 participants were divided into two groups. All participants in both groups played against each other once (16 games per team). The best four teams in each group advanced to the final round.

Final round:

In the final round, the teams only met once. The best team from all six games became champions.

An overall table was formed from the results of all games. This is used by the national association to calculate the perpetual best list.
