César Martins de Oliveira , called César , (born April 13, 1956 in São João da Barra , Rio de Janeiro ), is a former Brazilian football player .

Career

César began his career in 1976 with America FC from Rio de Janeiro , which at the time was still playing for the Brazilian championship . In 1979 he was able to secure the crown of the top scorer in the championship. This took place prompted Benfica from Lisbon to sign the player. After three years and with the title of Portuguese Cup winner and champion in his pocket, César moved back to Brazil to Gremio in Porto Alegre .
