Paulo César Fonseca do Nascimento , called Tinga , (born January 13, 1978 in Porto Alegre ) is a former Brazilian football player .

Career

General

His nickname “Tinga” refers to the name of the “Restinga” area in Porto Alegre where he grew up. He is 1.70 m tall and weighs 65 kg. He is considered to be a versatile midfielder who always exudes a goal threat. According to the sports magazine kicker , Tinga is “always playable, ball and pass safe as well as running and fighting strong”, which led to the nickname the animal in the Borussia Dortmund fan scene .
