Nilton Ferreira Júnior , called Nilton , (born April 21, 1987 in Barra do Garças , Mato Grosso ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Nilton started his career in the Corinthians São Paulo youth team . Originally trained as a striker at Corinthians, his talent as a defensive midfielder was also found here. He was part of the team that won the Brazilian championship in 2005 . Nilton also accompanied the club in relegation to the Série B for the 2008 season . As a master, the direct rise was achieved. But he never got beyond the role of a reserve player in the club. This was the reason to switch to Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro for the 2009 season .

The year began with the hosting of the Campeonato Carioca . In this tournament he was voted the best midfielder. In the championship, the club played the 2009 season only in the Série B. Thanks to continued good performances by Nilton, the promotion to the 2010 season was achieved. In September 2010, he tore a cruciate ligament while playing against Guarani FC in the Brazilian championship . It was not until October 5, 2011 that he was able to play a competitive game again. On December 18, 2012, his contract with Vasco expired and on December 22, his commitment was announced by Cruzeiro. With 30 of 38 possible appearances in the championship round, Nilton was a guarantee for reaching the third championship title of Cruzeiro 2013. After he was able to defend the title with the club in 2014, the player moved to SC Internacional in Porto Alegre .

In January 2015, Nilton moved from Cruzeiro to Internacional Porto Alegre . The contract had a term of three years. With the club he was able to win the Campeonato Gaúcho 2015. On December 4th of that year, Nilton and his teammate Wellington Aparecido Martins were suspended for five months for doping . After his suspension expired in April 2016, he returned to work at Internacional, but moved to Japan in June 2006 .

Nilton's next stop was Vissel Kobe . With this he entered the J1 League . Nilton played his first game in the top Japanese league on July 9, 2016 against Sagan Tosu . He scored his first goal in the league on his second appearance. On July 13, 2016 in the away game against Yokohama F. Marinos he scored in the 18th minute to make it 1-0 (3-2 for Yokohama).

After two years in Japan, Nilton went back to Brazil. He signed a contract with EC Bahia . Shortly after the start of the 2019 championship round , Nilton moved from Bahia to league rivals CS Alagoano .
