Carlos Andrade Souza or Carlinhos for short (born January 23, 1987 in Vitória da Conquista , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player.
Career
society
Carlinhos started his professional football career at FC Santos . His contract there would have expired in August 2008, but in June 2008 he extended it for another three years. He was then loaned to Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte for six months and then to Mirassol FC for five months . In December 2009 he signed a one-year contract with EC Santo André . In May 2010 he moved to Fluminense FC , where he was under contract for 5 seasons. In January 2015 he moved to São Paulo FC on a free transfer .
National team
Carlinhos was first called up by Dunga in 2006 for the Brazilian national soccer team for the friendly against Switzerland , but was not used. After he was not called up to the national soccer team for six years, he was appointed to the team by Mano Menezes for the Superclásico de las Américas tournament in 2012 . He made his debut on November 21, 2012 in the final of Superclásico de las Américas, when Brazil won the title.
