Jakub Kosecki (born August 29, 1990 in Warsaw ) is a Polish football player .

Career

society

Jakub Kosecki was born in Warsaw in 1990 as the son of professional footballer Roman Kosecki . He started playing football in the youth of FC Nantes , where his father was under contract at the time. Further positions followed in the youth departments of Montpellier HSC , Chicago Fire and Kosa Konstancin.

In the late summer of 2008 he came to Legia Warsaw , where he initially ran up for the junior team in the Młoda Ekstraklasa . From summer 2009 he was part of the first team squad. On December 4, 2009, the 16th matchday of the 2009/10 season , he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa in the away game against Zagłębie Lubin (0-0), when he came on in the 80th minute for Marcin Mięciel . However, he came in the first team of Legia in the 2009/10 season only to two missions and was therefore loaned to the then second division club ŁKS Łódź for the 2010/11 season. Here Kosecki was an absolute top performer and with his eleven goals in 28 games was instrumental in ensuring that ŁKS Łódź rose as champions in the Ekstraklasa. After his return to the Legia in the summer of 2011, he was only a reservist and he only made four appearances in the first half of the 2011/12 season . He was loaned to league rivals Lechia Gdańsk at the end of February 2012 for the second half of the 2011/12 season. For Lechia he scored two goals in eight games and was quite convincing. For the 2012/13 season he returned to Legia Warsaw and was able to fight for a regular place in the team. In the first half of the 2012/13 season alone, Kosecki scored seven goals in 14 games. This prompted Legia Warsaw to extend the contract early in February 2013 until the end of June 2017. For the 2015/16 season he was loaned to the German second division club SV Sandhausen and finally committed to the 2016/17 season . For Sandhausen he played 37 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored four goals. For the 2017/18 season he is returning to his native Poland , where he will play for Śląsk Wrocław in Breslau .

National team

From 2007 Kosecki played for the national teams of the Polish Football Association ( U-17 , U-18, U-20 ). On June 10, 2010, Kosecki played for the first time for the Polish U-21 national team in a friendly against Luxembourg (0: 1).

Thanks to its strong performance Kosecki was in December 2012 by the Polish coach Waldemar Fornalik , despite his limited experience to date (19 games in the Ekstraklasa and 7 goals) in the cadre of senior national appeal. In the 4-1 win against Macedonia on December 14, 2012 in Antalya , Kosecki was in the starting line-up.
