Semih Güler (born November 30, 1994 in Castrop-Rauxel ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Semih Güler started playing soccer at the Dortmund district club DJK Sportfreunde Nette . As a result, he also went through the youth departments of SpVg Blau Gelb Schwerin in Castrop-Rauxel and TSC Eintracht Dortmund , before moving to Westfalia Herne in 2010 . There he worked his way up to the A-team in a short time as a young talent of his own youth and was initially a regular player and later even team captain at the age of 19. Already in his first year at Westfalia Herne, Güler established himself as a regular player. In the event of a failure at the beginning of 2014, it was unclear whether and how Güler could return regularly. In the 2014 summer transfer period, Guler moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for the first division club Eskişehirspor . Here he signed a three-year contract and, due to the Turkish origin of his parents, is eligible to play under a local player status. For the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons he was loaned to the Istanbul third division club Eyüpspor .

In January 2019, he released his contract with Eskişehirspor and moved to league rivals Adana Demirspor .

Private

Semih Güler is a third generation son of Turkish immigrants. He grew up in Dortmund and is a fan of Borussia Dortmund . He has two siblings.
