Alexei Vladimirovich Beresuzki ( Russian Алексей Владимирович Березуцкий ; English Aleksei Berezutski ; born June 20, 1982 in Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian football player . He plays for CSKA Moscow in the position of defender .
Life
Alexei Vladimirovich Beresuzki was born in Moscow on June 20, 1982 as the twin brother of Vasily Beresuzki . In 2007 he was awarded the Order of Peace . He has a very good relationship with his twin brother Vasily; both brothers live with their families not far from each other.
Beresuzki is married to Jamila, a Tatar woman. The couple have a daughter and a son.
Career
society
Alexei Beresuzki, like his twin brother Vasily, attended the special children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 63 "Smena" in Moscow and began his career at the lower-class club Serwis-Cholod-Smena . In 1999, at the age of 17, he moved to the Torpedo-SIL football club in the 1st division . After a year he moved to Chernomorets Novorossiysk in the Premjer League , which he left in the same year for CSKA Moscow.
He celebrated his first title in 2003 when he won the Russian Cup . A year later he became Russian champion for the first time and won his first Russian Super Cup .
His most successful year so far was 2005 when he won the Russian champions , Russian cup winners and the UEFA Cup 3-1 against Sporting Lisbon .
2006 was no less successful when he won the Russian championship for the third time and the Russian Cup and the Russian Super Cup for the second time.
In 2007 he became the Russian Super Cup winner for the third time and won the commercial Pervy Canal Cup, launched in 2006 .
In 2009 he tested positive for Sudafed and was banned from a game by UEFA.
National team
Alexei Beresuzki made his first game for the Russian Olympic football team on September 7, 2002 in the game against Ireland (2-0). He also played two games for the Olympic team.
At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Russian squad . In the last game against Wales he made his only appearance when he came on for his twin brother Vasily when the score was 2-0 at halftime . Russia was the bottom of the group.
