Miguel Ángel Nadal Homar (born July 28, 1966 in Manacor on Mallorca ) is a former Spanish football player .
He initially played in the midfielder position , but over the years he developed into a feared central defender .
Career
Nadal played 62 times for the Spanish national team and for 18 years in the Spanish Primera División for RCD Mallorca , where he began his professional career in 1986, and for FC Barcelona . With FC Barcelona, the Mallorcan won five Spanish championships between 1991 and 1999 and won the European Cup in 1992 . Due to the difficult collaboration with coach van Gaal , despite all the success, he was drawn to his home club RCD Mallorca again at the end of his career in 1999, and he helped the team win the Spanish Cup in 2003 . In 2005, at the age of 39, he hung up his football boots.
