Daniel Kenedy (born February 18, 1974 in Bissau ) is a former Portuguese football player and current coach . He was a defender and midfielder .

He started his career at Benfica Lisbon , with whom he won the Portuguese Cup in 1993. In 1994 he won the championship with Benfica and in 1996 the cup again. In 1996/97 he played for Paris Saint-Germain , with whom he played for the 1997 UEFA Super Cup , but was defeated by Juventus Turin . He then went back to Portugal and won the 1998 double with FC Porto with championship and cup. Then he moved to CF Estrela Amadora . From 2001 to 2003 he was under contract with Marítimo Funchal . Further stations were Sporting Braga , Académica de Coimbra , APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus, Ergotelis , Kallithea FC , Aias Salamina and Peramaikos FC (all Greece). In 2012 he ended his career.

Kenedy participated with the Portuguese Olympic selection in the 1996 Olympic Games and finished fourth. He was also on the squad for the 2002 World Cup . Shortly before the final nomination, however, he was tested positive and banned for 18 months for doping with furosemide and nandrolone .
