Antonio Braga

Antonio Braga (born January 22, 1929 in Naples , † May 26, 2009 ibid) was an Italian composer and music teacher.

Braga taught music history and aesthetics at the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella in Naples and at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He headed the libraries of the Conservatories of Bologna and Bari, was deputy artistic director of the Teatro de la Opera in Rome and cultural ambassador of the Instituto del Cultura in Cairo. Braga composed ballets, concerts, overtures, symphonies and three operas. His main works are the opera 1492 and the symphonic poem El trono de Abomé .
