Michael Krohn-Dehli (born June 6, 1983 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player . The midfielder is under contract with Deportivo La Coruña . He played for the Danish national team from 2006 to 2018 .

Career

Krohn-Dehli started his career in the youth department of Hvidovre IF . He then played for the youth teams of Brøndby IF , where he attracted the attention of the scouts of foreign clubs. He decided to move to Ajax Amsterdam , but came there in the seasons 2002/03 and 2003/04 to no use in the Eredivisie . In 2004 he left Ajax Amsterdam and joined the RKC Waalwijk . In his first season he appeared in 31 games and scored two goals. In the following season Krohn-Dehli played in the league in 17 games. In the summer of 2006 he returned to Ajax Amsterdam and came to three missions in the first half of the 2006/07 season. For the second half of the 2006/07 season he was awarded to Sparta Rotterdam . After playing for Ajax Amsterdam again in the 2007/08 season, the club decided not to extend the contract that expired in summer 2008.

Krohn-Dehli returned to Denmark in late August 2008 and signed a contract with his former club Brøndby IF. He made his debut on August 31, 2008 when he came on as a substitute for Thomas Rasmussen on the sixth day of the Superliga against FC Copenhagen in the 63rd minute . On September 22, 2008 he scored his first goal for Brøndby IF on matchday eight against Esbjerg fB . In his first season for Brøndby IF, he appeared in 28 games and scored five goals. In the following season , Krohn-Dehli played in the league in 32 of 33 games and scored four goals. In qualifying for the newly founded Europa League , he and his team were eliminated from Hertha BSC . In the 2010/11 season he was used in 29 games and scored twelve times. In 2011/12 followed 27 appearances and five goals.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the Primera División for Celta Vigo, for the 2015/16 season for Sevilla FC . With the club he was eliminated in the Champions League group stage, continued to play in the Europa League and defended this title in May 2016. Krohn-Dehli injured himself in the European Cup semi-finals against Shakhtar Donetsk and was out for eight months after breaking his kneecap. finished seventh with the team in the league at the end of the season and reached the final of the Copa del Rey 2015/16 . Also due to his kneecap fracture towards the end of the 2015/16 season, Krohn-Dehli only made two appearances in the 2016/17 season. National team

Krohn-Dehli, who played for various Danish U-national teams, made his debut on October 11, 2006 for the senior national team of his home country , when he came on after 78 minutes for Dennis Rommedahl in the European Championship qualifier against Liechtenstein . In the following years he was not nominated for a while, which was also due to his reservist role in the Netherlands. On October 5, 2008 he was then nominated for the senior team after more than one and a half years when he was called up for game in the World Cup qualification on October 11, 2008 against Malta . In November 2017 Denmark qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia after a second place in the qualification and after the successful qualifying games against Ireland (0: 0/5: 1) . Krohn-Dehli was part of the squad, but did not appear in the group stage, in which Denmark finished second. He was substituted on in the round of 16 against Croatia and missed his penalty kick. After leaving, he announced his resignation from the national team.
