2011 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The 2011 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was held in Taipei from September 15 to 23 . Record champions China won the title again after two second places this time in the final against Japan . South Korea came in third.

In the first round, thirteen teams competed in four groups. The group winners and runners-up in the first round played the pairings for the quarter-finals in the second round. There the winners of groups E and F crossed against the fourth and the second against the third. From the quarter-finals, the knockout system continued until the final. The losers in the quarterfinals played for places five to eight. The teams that had finished third and fourth in the group in the first round determined the ranking in places nine to thirteen.
