Dragan Ćirić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Драган Ћирић , born September 15, 1974 in Jakovo , Belgrade ) is a former Yugoslav football player .
Career
Ćirić started his career in Jakovo, a village near Belgrade . He later joined the youth department of Partizan Belgrade and made his professional debut there in the 1992/93 season. Overall, Ćirić spent five seasons at Partizan, in which he can boast 31 goals in 126 league encounters. After winning four Yugoslav championships , Ćirić said goodbye to Spain in 1997 to join FC Barcelona . At the Catalan club, however, he did not get beyond the status of a supplementary player. During his two seasons there, he won two Spanish championships and once each the Spanish Cup and the UEFA Super Cup , but played only six of a total of 26 league games from the start. The 1999/00 season Ćirić spent on loan at the Greek club AEK Athens , where he again became a regular and helped win the Greek Cup at the end of the season. 2000 Ćirić moved within Spain to Real Valladolid , which he left in 2004, after relegation to the Segunda División , to return to Partizan Belgrade for a final season. At the end of the 2004/05 season, after winning the championship one more time, Ćirić ended his career at the age of 30.
For the Yugoslav national team Ćirić completed a total of four internationals between 1995 and 1997, all as a substitute. He played his first international game on November 12, 1995 in a 4-1 victory over El Salvador .
After his active time, Ćirić opened a Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant in the Belgrade district of Zemun .
