Robert Jarni (born October 26, 1968 in Čakovec , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Yugoslav- Croatian football player and current coach .

Career

Robert Jarni started his career at Hajduk Split . In addition to numerous club successes, he has also left a big mark on the Croatian national team . He was used in 81 games for Croatia, which made him the record international player between June 13, 2002 and June 18, 2006 (since then Dario Šimić with 100 games), and he scored two goals in these. Jarni played one game for Yugoslavia at the World Cup in Italy in 1990 and played for Croatia after the disintegration of the multi-ethnic state until the 2002 World Cup . After his last appearance against Ecuador on June 13, 2002, Robert Jarni announced his retirement from the national team. Jarni has always been known for his speed throughout his active career. In a game in which he played against Stefan Reuter , who was also very fast, he overran it again and again.
