history
Puskás Akadémia was founded in 2005 by the first division team Videoton FC from Székesfehérvár to promote the club's own youth work. The club is named after Ferenc Puskás , probably the greatest football legend in Hungary . Every year the club holds the Puskás Cup, in which international youth teams duel for the title in Felcsút.
Puskás Akadémia FC experienced an extremely surprising promotion to the top division. With a second place in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II 2012/13, only behind master Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE , against whom they lost the final and in their own group with a luxurious advantage of ten points over Kozármisleny SE . This makes Puskás Akadémia FC the first youth team to have made the leap to the top class of Hungarian football. It should also be noted that with Videoton FC the parent club also plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság . Puskás Akademia FC, on the other hand, played a surprisingly solid season and were able to celebrate relegation at the end of the 2013/14 season .
