history
At the opening game in 1908, it had a spectator capacity of 25,000. In 1999/2000 the club planned to increase the audience capacity to 30,000 seats, which was carried out in the 2000/01 season. In the same year the stadium was expanded again, this time by almost 13,000 seats. On May 6, 2001 the audience capacity was increased to 42,500 seats and in the 2003/04 season to 50,530 seats. In the course of the last expansion, the stadium was the first Turkish stadium to be equipped with stadium heating, so that pleasant temperatures prevail in all tiers even in winter. Today the stadium has a capacity of 50,509 seats.
