The FC Birkirkara (officially: Birkirkara Football Club ) is a Maltese football club from Birkirkara .

history

The club was formed in December 1950 from the merger of Birkirkara United FC with Birkirkara Celtic. In 1994 the merger with Luxol SC St. Andrew's to Birkirkara Luxol FC took place. Since 1997 the club has been called FC Birkirkara. In the 1997/98 season, the club took part in the UEFA Cup for the first time. He currently plays in the highest Maltese league, the Maltese Premier League .
