Vitaly Serhijowytsch Mykolenko ( Ukrainian Віталій Сергійович Миколенко , scientific. Transliteration Vitalij Serhijovyč Mykolenko , English Vitaliy Serhiyovych Mykolenko * 29. May 1999 in Cherkassy ) is a Ukrainian footballer who currently at the first division club Dynamo Kiev is under contract. The left full-back has been a Ukrainian international since November 2018 .

Career

society

Mykolenko, born in Cherkassy , 160 km south-east of Kiev , comes from the youth department of the capital association Dynamo Kiev , which he joined in 2012. After leaving the youth academy in 2016, he played in the Ukrainian reserve league for the U23 team Dynamos. In August 2017 he was promoted to the first team of neo head coach Alyaksandr Khatskewitsch . He made his debut in the top Ukrainian league on August 20 (6th matchday) in a 4-1 home win against FK Stal . As a result, however, he only played sporadically and ended his first season 2017/18 with five league appearances.

In the next 2018/19 season he established himself in the starting line-up and scored his first professional goal on 8 November 2018 in a 3-1 home win against Stade Rennes in the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League . In the league, he completed 23 games and reached with his team the runner-up title behind Shakhtar Donetsk .

On October 20, 2019 (11th matchday) he scored the decisive goal with a header to the 1-0 home win against FK Oleksandrija and his first league goal for the Kyewljane .

National team

Mykolenko represented his home country, Ukraine, in all junior selections starting with the U17 .

On October 20, 2018, he made his debut for the senior national team in a 0-0 draw against Turkey in qualifying for the 2021 European Championship .

In May 2019 he was called up to the U20 squad for the 2020 U20 World Cup in Poland . He then missed the tournament due to an injury and Ukraine won it in his absence.
