The Gruendler Glacier is a glacier in the Victory Mountains in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the northern slopes of the Malta Plateau near Mount Hussey in a northerly direction to the Trainer Glacier .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using geodetic surveys and aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after James D. Gruendler, a member of the United States Antarctic Research Program team , which from 1967 to 1968 undertook glaciological studies on Roosevelt Island .
