The Awanhard Stadium ( Ukrainian Авангард ' avant-garde ') is a multifunctional stadium in Uzhhorod , Zakarpattia Oblast , Ukraine . It is currently mostly used for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Hoverla-Zakarpattya Uzhhorod . The stadium can accommodate 12,000 spectators.
The stadium was built in 1952 and renovated in 2005. The size of the playing field is 104 × 68 m. The architects were Jewhen Walz, Emil Egresi and Sandor Kavas. In 2012 the stadium was leased to the best regional club FC Hoverla-Zakarpattya Uzhhorod for the next 20 years.
