The Meteor Stadium ( Ukrainian Метеор (стадион) ) is part of the Meteor Sports Complex , which is one of the National Olympic Centers of Ukraine . It is the stadium of the Ukrainian second division club Dnipro-2 Dnipropetrovsk and the reserve team of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk . From 2008 to 2010, the former second division team Dnipro-75 Dnipropetrovsk played there . It was built in 1966 and was the home stadium of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk before the Dnipro Stadium opened in 2008.

The opening game took place on August 30, 1966 against Shinnik Yaroslavl , which Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk won 3-1.
On October 15, 1981 there was a tragic accident after a game of the First League of the Soviet Union between Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Spartak Moscow in which 11 people died in a mass flight.
In the 2015/16 Premjer-Liha season , the Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk football club from the neighboring town of Kamjanske sometimes hosts its home games in the stadium, as its own stadium can only accommodate 2900 people.
