Meteor Sports Complex

The sports complex Meteor ( Ukrainian Спортивний комплекс Метеор abbreviated as SK Meteor) is the largest urban sports and cultural center in the Ukrainian city ​​of Dnipro . The complex has been the home of the Olympic and Paralympic national teams of Ukraine since October 10, 2001 and as such is of national importance . Meteor belongs to the Juschmasch company .

The complex consists of:

  • the Meteor Stadium (1966)
  • the water sports palace Meteor (main pool / Olympic pool)

There are also five sports schools here (which can be described more as a high-performance center, since there is no general education here), four of which are mainly reserved for the Olympic and Paralympic youth teams and offer swimming, badminton, athletics and figure skating and an open sports school, which offers the Sports judo, sailing, mountaineering, rowing, shooting and diving.
