Łukasz Teodorczyk (born June 3, 1991 in Żuromin ) is a Polish football player . He plays primarily as a center forward in the attack , but can also be used as a hanging tip or an attacking midfielder .

Career

Teodorczyk began playing football in his hometown at Wkra Żuromin , where he made the jump into the first team squad at the age of 16 in the summer of 2007. In the first half of the 2009/10 season he drew attention to himself as he scored ten goals in 15 games.

At the end of December 2009, the first division club Polonia Warsaw announced the commitment of Teodorczyk on January 1 of the following year. First he should play in the youth team, which plays in the separate youth league Młoda Ekstraklasa . From summer 2010 Teodorczyk was then also part of the first team. On 26 October 2010 he came in second round of the Polish Football Cup in the away game against KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (2: 0 . Aet ) when he was in the 70th minute for his first appearance Daniel Gołębiewski came on. He scored the goal of the 1-0 lead in the eighth minute of extra time. Three days later, on matchday 11 of the 2010/11 season , Teodorczyk also made his debut in the Ekstraklasa. In the 0-1 away defeat against Jagiellonia Białystok , he came on in the 88th minute for Adrian Mierzejewski . In total, he came to six short appearances in the first team in the 2010/11 season. In the second team, Teodorczyk was able to achieve 15 goals in 21 games and was top scorer in the Młoda Ekstraklasa. At the beginning of the 2011/12 season Teodorczyk scored his first goal in the Ekstraklasa on the 5th matchday in the home game against GKS Bełchatów (2-1). In September 2011 he suffered a broken fibula on matchday 7 in the derby against Legia Warsaw and was out for the rest of the first half of the season. In the second half of the season he fought his way back into the team and became an integral part. In total, he came to eleven missions and scored four hits. In the first half of the 2012/13 season he scored five goals in 13 appearances. In January 2013, Teodorczyk announced that he would not extend his expiring contract with Polonia Warsaw.

On the same day, league rival Lech Posen announced the commitment of Teodorczyk for the 2013/14 season . He signed a four-year contract until the end of June 2017. Less than a month later, the clubs announced the premature move from Teodorczyk for a transfer fee of around 125,000 euros . In the second half of the 2012/2013 season Teodorczyk made 14 appearances in the Ekstraklasa, but only scored one goal. In his second season at Lech Posen he was a regular player and scored 20 goals in 32 league games. In the 2014/2015 season he played four more times for Lech Poznan and scored three goals before signing a five-year contract with the Ukrainian record champions Dynamo Kiev at the end of August 2014 . The transfer fee was four million euros. With Kiev he was also Ukrainian champion and cup winner in his first season. In the 2015/2016 season he was able to secure the championship again with the club.

For the 2016/2017 season, Teodorczyk was awarded for one year to the Belgian record champions RSC Anderlecht . After scoring 20 goals in 28 games, RSC Anderlecht acquired the transfer rights to Teodorczyk on March 30, 2017 and provided him with a contract until June 30, 2020.

On August 17, 2018, Teodorczyk moved to Udinese Calcio for a transfer fee of 7 million euros.

National team

After moving to Polonia Warsaw, Teodorczyk was also considered for the selection teams of the Polish Football Association . On November 17, 2010 he made his debut in the Polish U20 in the game against Switzerland and scored two goals in a 3-2 win. In March 2011 he came to two more assignments.

On June 6, 2011 Teodorczyk completed his first game for the Polish U21s in the 1: 2 defeat against Greece . Another assignment followed in August 2011, before he played in two qualifying matches for the U-21 European Championship in 2013 and scored two goals. After his injury, Teodorczyk played for the U-21 again for the first time at the end of February 2012. In September 2012 he was used again in the last qualifying game.

At the end of October 2012, Teodorczyk was nominated for an international match for the Polish U-23 for the first time. Teodorczyk had to cancel his participation, however, as he barely a week later by the coach of the senior team , Waldemar Fornalik , for the international match on November 14, 2012 compared Uruguay was nominated. However, it has not yet been used there. In January 2013 he was nominated again. On February 2, 2013, he made his national team debut when he started and played through in the friendly against Romania in Malaga . In the 4-1 win, Teodorczyk prepared the first goal through Szymon Pawłowski and scored the second and third goals himself.

At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he was part of the Polish squad . He was used in two group games and retired with the team after the group stage.
