Ilija Nestorovski (Macedonian: Илија Несторовски) (born March 12, 1990 in Prilep , Pelagonia ) is a North Macedonian football player . The striker is under contract with Udinese Calcio and also plays for the North Macedonian national team .
Career
society
Nestorovski joined the football club in his hometown, FK Pobeda Prilep, when he was ten. With the help of his youth academy, he managed to switch to the professional squad at the age of 16, with which he played 96 games in four years and scored 39 goals.
He then left the club in 2010 for the Czech Republic for 1. FC Slovácko. After he could only score one goal in two seasons, the club awarded him to FK Viktoria Žižkov and the Macedonian club FK Metalurg Skopje from 2011 to 2013.
After 33 games and only one goal each, FC Slovácko awarded him in 2013 to the Croatian second division club Inter Zaprešić, where he scored 70 goals in 90 games in three years. In the 2014/15 season, the team's three-time top scorer , who had meanwhile been firmly committed, was promoted to the top division with the same.
In July 2016, the player moved to the Italian second division club US Palermo, where Nestorovski signed a four-year contract. After their bankruptcy and dissolution, he moved to the first division Udinese Calcio in 2019 .
National team
Nestorovski played his first game for his country's senior team on October 9, 2015, against Ukraine as part of the 2016 European Championship qualification . He scored his first goal on May 29, 2016 in a friendly against Azerbaijan in Bad Erlach , Lower Austria .
