Rolando Mandragora (born June 29, 1997 in Naples ) is an Italian football player . The midfielder is under contract with Udinese Calcio .

Career

Mandragora began his career at AC Ponticelli and then played for Mariano Keller, a club from San Giorgio a Cremano in the metropolitan city of Naples . In December 2011 he switched to the youth department of CFC Genoa , which he worked through until July 2014. As a result, he was accepted into the professional squad of the CFC. National team

Mandragora was nominated for the first time for the U-17 national team of Italy in February 2014 and made his debut in a 6-0 win against Hungary . A month later he was used in three qualifying games for the U-17 European Championship . In August 2014, Mandragora made his debut for the U-18 selection against the U-17 national team of Norway . Further missions did not follow, as Mandragora was nominated for the U-19 national team just a month later . For this he played ten games from September 2014 to March 2015 and scored one goal on his debut against Slovakia .

In August 2015, he made his debut in the U-21 national team in a 0-0 draw against Hungary . Until his metatarsal fracture, Mandragora had played seven games in the successful qualification for the U-21 European Championship .

Mandragora made his debut for the Italian national team in a friendly against France in June 2018 . This is his only international match so far as he has not been considered since then.
