The Wyschtscha Liha 1992 ( Ukrainian Вища ліга ) was the 1st edition of the highest Ukrainian league in men's football after independence from the Soviet Union . The season began on March 6, 1992 and ended with the final on June 21, 1992.

mode

Since it was decided to switch to autumn-spring mode for the coming season, the season was shortened. The twenty teams, divided into two groups, each played against each other twice; once at home and once away. Each team played 18 games. The two group winners contested the final for the championship. In addition, the two runners-up played for third place. The last three of each group descended into the Perscha Liha.
