The Shakhtar Central Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk . The stadium is also called the Shakhtar Stadium ( Ukrainian : Шахтар (стадіон) )
The stadium is mainly used for football matches. The owner of the stadium, the Shakhtar Donetsk club , played here until August 2009, when the new Donbass Arena was completed.
