Initially it was supposed to be in Kiev , but at the insistence of the then Football Association of the USSR , the club was established in Vinnytsia. The reason given by the association was that there were already enough clubs in Kiev, including one called Lokomotiw, which only existed until 1949.

Trojanowskiy, A. Alexandrow, A. Molotaj, E. Kotelnikow, Viktor Yun Cheng-Yang, Eugene Snitko, B. Lipsky, Mikhail Petrov, A. Konovalov, W. Kowylin and others.
From 1958 to 1964 and 1970 one had a leading position in the B-class of the Ukrainian SSR League, was twice first (1959, 1963), four times second (1960, 1961, 1964, 1970) and twice third (1958, 1962) . From 1965 to 1969 they played in the A-Class and came fourth in 1966.

The best goal scorers at the time were Pascha Kassanow and Sergei Shevchenko, who together scored 127 goals. Kassanow completed a total of 513 games.
In 1992 they were a founding member of the 1st League of Ukraine, but had to relegate immediately. After the immediate resurgence, the club stayed in the first division for four years. However, always playing against relegation, at the end of 1997 they were second class again.
In between, the greatest success came with reaching the cup final , which they lost 2-0 to Dinamo Kiev .
From 1997 Nywa played for eight years in the 2nd division . In 2005 the club merged with FK Berschad and moved to its city. Since the club struggled with financial problems, he was penalized nine points at the start of the season. In the end, a meager four points jumped out.
In the 2006/07 season the club was re-established and began with the amateurs in the 4th division under the name FK Nywa-Switanok. After a resurgence, the name was changed to PFK Nywa Vinnyzja on July 8, 2008. In 2009/10 they finally won the League Cup after beating Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk 4-0 .
