Veikkausliiga 1991

The Veikkausliiga 1992 was the third season of the Finnish top division in men's football under this name and the 62nd season since its inception in 1930. It began on April 26 and ended on October 17.

Champion became HJK Helsinki . At the end of the season, the capital city club had three points ahead of defending champions Kuusysi Lahti and FC Jazz Pori .

Two clubs competed under a new name in 1992: The Porin Pallo-Toverit became FC Jazz Pori, Oulun Työvänen Palloilijat merged with Oulun Luistinseura to form FC Oulu .

    Relegation

    In the relegation, FC Oulu played as Veikkausliiga penultimate against the second division club FinnPa Helsinki for a place in the Veikkausliiga 1993. This resulted in a new relegation duel from the previous year, when the then Oulun Työvypen Palloilijat prevailed and remained first class.
