The Saviniemen jalkapallostadion ( German Saviniemi football stadium ) is a football stadium in the Finnish town of Myllykoski , which belongs to the city of Kouvola . The football club Myllykosken Pallo -47 has its sporting home here.
history
Construction began in 1994 and in 1995 the football stadium in Myllykoski was completed. The sports facility consists of two covered longitudinal stands and two tubular steel tiers under the open sky behind the gates. The sports facility currently offers 4,167 seats (3,004 of which are covered). For the guest fans there are 159 covered seats in grandstand C and twenty seats are provided for disabled visitors. The playing field made of natural grass has underfloor heating and an irrigation system and the floodlight system provides 1,200 lux . It was built in 1996 with 800 lux, in 2006 the output was increased. In 2007 the capacity increased by 655 places. There are parking spaces for 20 buses and 250 cars at the stadium.
On September 12, 1996, Liverpool FC visited the first leg of the first round of the European Cup Winners' Cup . 5,200 visitors came to the stadium for the encounter; which means record attendance to this day.
