Veikkausliiga 1994

The Veikkausliiga 1995 was the sixth season of the Finnish top division in men's football under this name and the 65th season since its introduction in 1930.

Haka Valkeakoski won the Finnish championship for the fifth time after 1960, 1962, 1965 and 1977. In addition, the club also won the second League Cup with a 4-2 win over defending champions HJK Helsinki.

mode

The 14 teams played against each other twice on a total of 26 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. Since the league was reduced by two teams for the 1996 season, there were three direct relegated teams. In addition, the thirteenth in the table had to play two relegation games against the second in the 2nd league, the Ykkönen, in order to avoid relegation. Victims of this change were among others defending champion Tampereen Pallo-Veikot, who was relegated with 24 points.
