Finnish League Cup
The Finnish League Cup , in Finland Liigacup , was a football competition in Finland until 2016 .
history
The competition was first held in 1994, when HJK Helsinki won the title. Until 2000, the cup was played annually. The competition was suspended between 2001 and 2003. The Finnish league cup has been played annually since 2004.
When it was first played, the cup was played after the end of the season, since the second competition before the start of the season. The record winner with five titles is HJK Helsinki.

The 14 teams of the Veikkausliiga were divided into two groups of seven teams each. In each of the groups, the teams competed against each other once. The best four of the two groups qualified for the quarter-finals. The winner of the competition was then determined in the cup mode.
