Alexis Bonnet

Alexis Frantz Christophe Bonnet (born July 2, 1966 in Marseille ) is a French mathematician and finance manager.

In 1983 and 1984 he won the silver medal at the Mathematics Olympiad. Bonnet studied from 1985 at the École polytechnique and the École des Mines . He received his doctorate in 1992 from the University of Paris VI ( Sur quelques probèmes d'analysis non linéaire avec applications à la combustion ) with Henri Berestycki . Then he went to Goldman Sachs . He is one of the Chief Executive Officers and Co-Founder (2005) of Methodology Asset Management in London.

In 1996 he received the EMS Prize for his work on the Mumford- Shah conjecture in image processing, which is a difficult problem of variation, as well as in the theory of partial differential equations (flame propagation, combustion).
