The Bolt Arena is a football stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki . It has been sponsored by the technology company Bolt.Works since January 2020 . It is located right next to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and the Helsingin Jäähalli ice rink .
history
The facility was opened in 2000 and offers 10,770 seats, 36 of which are VIP and 45 press seats. It is purely a seating stadium, all seats are covered. The main grandstand can also be heated. The game is played on artificial turf , with turf heating under the playing field . Mainly the football club HJK Helsinki and its reserve team Klubi 04 play their home games in the venue , although some friendly matches for the Finnish national football team also took place here. In 2003 the final of the U-17 soccer world championship was held here.
The Bolt Arena was one of the five venues for the 2009 European Women's Football Championship . During the tournament, however, the arena was named " Töölö Stadium". A natural turf was laid for the tournament . Three preliminary round matches, a quarter-final and a semi-final were played in the stadium.
